Getting ready to go hang out
in a lounge chair
just sit and relax
where I can listen to really bad elevator music
have a bright light shown in my face
as if I am about to be interrogated
be surrounded by all kinds of crazy instruments
that play the scariest sounds
on the planet
while the masked man
ensures me it's all good

Ugh -- you've reminded me I've got an appointment in 10 days' time - and I know it's not good. Ah well. But hey, a problem shared is a problem halved, as my mother used to say :))

I've had multiple surgeries in the past decade & I'm still more fearful of going to the dentist than to the operating table. Don't know what's up with that but I can relate to this poem

I've only had one major surgery.. but I'd gladly go through that again 1000 times rather than go to the dentist .. ugh .. sadly I've never met a dentist I like ... it's more like a torture chamber ...
