Magnetitude

Strange but expected phenomenon
Tugging at puppies like a line of clumped iron filings

The magnetism of promising plinks of kibble
Filling the glass bowl
Which scream to instincts

The concept of "Fed" plays out
Flinging fast furry feet
And faster canine jaws
And frantic tongues

The same force draws police
Vans, cars, motorcycles
Toward the plinking of copper jackets
Spilling on concrete

Frantic for a taste of violence
They squeeze down narrow streets
Tires squealing out impatience
Complete with a runty pedestrian
Straggling at the rear
