death calls to memory
the hand that stole many times
and the mouth that lied
death calls to memory
the stabbings of hurtful words
anger stirs inside
death holds me captive
wrathful vengeance shall be mine
we shall not have life
life calls to memory
the dunking of my sibling
floating in water
lost thought of near loss
deeply cracks my hardened heart
love seeps through slowly
softening my heart
until tears of remorse fall
repentful heart cries
