Bad Ass Bitch
did my best to make you happy
never a good friend
you treat me so badly

don't have the strength to fight you

don't want to keep making you angry

don't even need a reason why

i'll be there when you come around
if distance is what you need
then I won't push the situation
guess I can at least hold my head up high
without a thought of who's wrong or right
I will say this though
being an ass doesn't make you a bad ass bitch

wish we could be better friends

wish you sympathized a little bit

wish this wasn't the end

round and round my mind went
thinking how to make you feel better
felt all I did was add to the pain
thus bringing me pain
guess that means I care for you
guess that means you won't care for me
or we both can be in the wrong
because I will always say it like it is
and your too sensitive
and how I see it is
how you are acting is straight shit!
because you've not the only one with problems
and I don't see how treating me bad will better yours
though I guess if it does, good

Unfortunately, it seems to be a human response to take our pain and frustration on those we know care...maybe it's a misguided sense that they won't abandon us so we're safe. I try not to do that to my friends, but it happens. Gotta own it when it does and apologize...with sincerity. And then endeavor not to do it again. Relationships of any kind are work...but usually worth the effort.

I would say that's very true. Though it's only worth the try when both people are trying. Don't want to waste energy on someone that won't even try even a little bit. And yes, all of us are human and make those mistakes, unfortunately.
