It's like that when you're a mom.

She felt like crying. Big alligator tears and ugly sobs crying.
She could feel the tears building like a wave just before it crashes.
It’s like that sometimes when you’re a mom.
When you work full-time, juggling between your career, family, and friends.
When your brain doesn’t shut off and nights are sleepless.
You get tired. You get downright exhausted.
And whether you are or not, you feel alone.
There aren’t any sick days or PTO when you’re a mom.
So sometimes, you just feel like crying. Crying until
every tear of self-doubt, worry, guilt, anger, and utter exhaustion pours itself out of your body.
Crying until you can allow yourself to start over again.
It’s almost like a restart button; crying is.
Your body’s own self-preservation, cool down and chill out system.
So, on your hardest days and toughest nights, cry. Reset. Breathe.
And cry some more if you need to.
Because it’s like that when you’re a mom.
