something 'bout growing up ''red on the head''...
made me yearn for anonymity...
Though most of my life's work required
costuming...and being ''On Stage''...
therein lies a certain invisibility...

I've set a task for myself doing a "one man poetry show" in June, reciting a smörgåsbord of poetry, starting with Alfred Noyes' "The Highwayman" and moving seamlessly through about 20 poems - interspersed by a friend playing guitar to give me the occasional break. Got any tips for being "on stage" (my first time doing this - though have been a univ prof in days gone by).

Tie it in to something familiar...like giving a lesson.
Or if you're more comfortable...stand behind a lectern and read, like Peter Ustinov used to do.
