THE WILD ROAD
Take me down the wild road
Towards misery or glee
The face you are looking at
Isn't the one that I see
All that I ever asked for
Was a final quiet night
To put to bed the darkness
I've been fighting all my life
So keep all your salutations
Resentments all you breed
Stop ending our conversations
By telling me what I need
If you ever get inside my head
You'll end up turning in your grave
One last glimpse of happiness
Is all that I really crave
So take me down that wild road
Where a strange new world awaits
Break-out your shining gold key
And open up these bloody gates
Leave me to my own thoughts
You don't know what's best for me
Just leave me to my musings
And let my mind roam free
So take me down the wild road
Allow me to be crazy
Go and take care of yourself
It's your future that is hazy
As I head down that wild road
Through the gates that I broke down
The look that's now on my face
Is no longer a sad frown
Now you only see my back
Going down the wild road
Know all you that follow me
Here you never will grow old
