The Unknown Chapter.1
“He has chosen death, so let him die.” Said Vanessa, her red eyes got redder, her smile smiled a little brighter.
“No!” Olivia shouted, “Please. No, no, no!” Her make-up smeared as she cried for me. Then I felt chills run down my spine. Olivia tried to escape Mike’s grip, I looked at him, a tear started to catch up to his eye, he looked away and down.
Vanessa stared at me. I never noticed how evil a person can be, until now. “Olivia, I’ll miss you, Mike, you’re the best friend someone like me could have asked for, both of you, I love you.”
“Follow me.” Vanessa said, with her head held high. I followed her, with no choice. Two guards followed me. I didn’t know where I was going. The truth is, I didn’t want to die, but I had to. The question you probably thinking is, why?
Well, I felt forced and it’s like I had no other choice. Olivia, she’s the love of my life and I got her involved in this, the truth about Mike is, he chose to be in the position.
I could tell Mike likes Olivia, dare I say it maybe even loves. I love Olivia too. Now that I’m dieing, maybe they could be together and be happy.
They take me through two doors, then three long hallways. Then a room, a cold, dimmed room, a good place to die. I see there’s an old stool. And a strong, wise rope, the guards shove me onto the stool; put the rope around my neck and Vanessa asks me, “Any last words?” She laughs.
I look at her. Stare, the evilest stare I could ever stare. “Fuck you.” All of a sudden, my life flashes before my eyes. The old stool brakes, I couldn’t breathe, my body was shaking, my eyes were starting to close but I manage to see Olivia run in, Mike behind her. She covers her mouth, Mike tries to run to me, but the guards hold him back. All of a sudden, the rope brakes too.
“Damnit!” I hear Vanessa say.
I gasp; it gets really hard to breathe. I cough, and then I take the rope of my neck. The guards are shocked and they freeze.
“Kill him!” Vanessa demands.
The guards try and grab me. I turn around punch one in the face. He is dumbfounded. The other ones almost stabbed me in the back but I roll onto the ground and grab is knife and slit his throat. Then the one, tries to tackle me, I stab the knife, (still in my hand) into his cold heart.
Then, the lights go off, “Mike? Olivia?” I yell. I hear laughter. I assume it is Vanessa.
“God fucking damnit! Leave me alone!” I hear myself say. The laughter stops.
“She never loved you.” Mike’s low voice said in the darkness.
“Mike.?” Now I’m dumbfounded.
“Cole, Cole, Cole. You ignorant sun-of-a-bitch.” Mike says.
“What the hell are you talking about?” I said into the darkness once more.
The lights went back on, what was that? I asked myself.
Olivia ran into the room. “What the hell is going on?! Mike is gone! He just like he,”
I interrupted her, “Shh, its okay.” I gave her a deep hug. She had me tight, “I miss these.”
“I love you, Cole.” She said.
I was shocked, but pleased, “I love you, too.”
We released from our hug, “Are you okay?”
I laughed, “Yeah, I think so.”
She smiled. Then hell broke loose.
