This Moment
It's enough, for a moment, to touch hands
And not to speak in shadows: here we chase
The memories we're made of, that expand
As every instant passes; if I place
My trust in staying with you, hiding love
By losing it, then finding it, in spite
Of barely breathing, as fingers compose
Diaphanous, smooth love songs, which ignite
New passions built together; we may find,
By touching hands in silence, we can share
A thousand bedroom fantasies that bind
Us to each other in the artful prayer
You mouth, before you undo each tight cuff
That hold me to this moment just enough.
And not to speak in shadows: here we chase
The memories we're made of, that expand
As every instant passes; if I place
My trust in staying with you, hiding love
By losing it, then finding it, in spite
Of barely breathing, as fingers compose
Diaphanous, smooth love songs, which ignite
New passions built together; we may find,
By touching hands in silence, we can share
A thousand bedroom fantasies that bind
Us to each other in the artful prayer
You mouth, before you undo each tight cuff
That hold me to this moment just enough.
