Afraid
A touch to my skin
and I'm already burning.
She looks in my eyes
for a sign or a warning
I know that
she knows how I easily
choke up and break down
black out completely.
A whisper to my ear
and now I am smiling.
I hold to her tightly;
her embrace so calming.
She sees that
I see when she so carefully
brings her lips up to mine
and I part almost instantly.
A glance to my eyes
that I might be avoiding.
She sighs to herself
for what she knows I'm fearing.
I heard that
she heard what I am secretly
afraid of the hatred
of what I wish to be.
