A Beautiful Chaos - with the inspiring Sky_dancer
If you could
See
My
Mind.
Your eyes would open
The fragments of thought,
Bare bones
Of feeling inside.
It’s a graveyard,
Got normal ideas.
The skeletons are hidden deep.
We are revenants
Hit and run normality.
Glimpses,
Of what I’m meant to be.
Enough difference
Not to fit in.
Imperfect,
in your eyes.
Broken,
Into perfect pieces.
There is a pathological urge
To fix us.
We're not fractured
We live behind a fence,
Large enough
To
Keep
Them
Out;
Small enough to let in the light.
We venture
Tentatively
On the Fringes of Your World.
Never really staying.
What is taken as natural progression?
We struggle to learn
From the tone of voice,
To simple eye contact.
An almost
Alien
Concept.
It’s like a dance;
We learn the structure.
But struggle with the flow
And beat.
So on the dance floor
We are the
Ones
Focused.
We dance alone.
The cut and thrust of thoughts
That want to burst forth;
Anxiety
Pounds like a heartbeat.
Its gravity pulls back
The
Attempts
to
Communicate.
The autistic rhythm:
Step-by-step.
Almost
Robotic.
The metronome clicking inside.
Circuits -
Opening
and
Closing,
Determining the thought process
For today.
The instinct to hide in plain sight
With an urge to touch,
To feel the warmth of another
At
A
Safe
Distance.
Not to upset
Our delicate balance of Chaos
