I left this on her locker
you were standing there quite unaware
of how you caught my eye
I had other places I should have been
but I couldn't walk on by
without trying to engage you
but girl I'm so damn shy
so I wrote you a little note
from a table nearby.
Tried to dissipate the butterflies
as you were laughing with your friends
but the smile in your eyes
was more than I could comprehend
as I basked there in your glow
all I wished for
was to say hello
but hopelessly tongue tied
the right words wouldn't flow.
Perhaps we will meet another day
when I've gathered up my bravery
until then all I wanted to say-
you are a radiant being
and you took my breath away
yes you took my breath away

I hope you weren't too shy to sign it. I did the same thing a couple of times, one thought someone else left it and wound up dating him. The other never knew who wrote it and and eventually wound up dating someone that wasn't me.
It's a really sweet poem and if she is capable of sharing your feelings, don't be shy. Ask yourself, what's the worst thing that could happen? Is it any different that what would happen if she just says no?
Maybe for an instant, the no stings, but the sting is nothing to a lifetime of wondering what if... So I hope you signed it, and if you didn't, well, you'll just have to do it all over before someone else comes along and claims they wrote the note. If you think "no" stings, try that one on for size.
This poem is very well written and so beautifully expressed. It's bound to touch her heart. Show her some confidense, go up and ask her if she liked your poem... Then come back and write another poem to tell us how it went, lol. No, don't, I don't want to put that kind of pressure on you. She could say no and you won't want to say anything, so don't tell us, unless you need someone to talk to. But you won't, cos she will say yes, well, if she can feel that for you she will, and there is only one way to find out. So if you haven't let her know it's you, you must. C'mon, go for it...

i love this and yea for real. if you never take the chance youl never know what could have been. its always worth a try. who knows.. she could be waiting for you to make your move. your a poet. at least you can impress her with that. thats the poetic edge bro.. u gotta use it. peace
