For One Day I Cannot
you are the good part of my day
the reason I feel complete
I push against the grindstone
looking forward to coming home
because all I do is for that moment
to finally walk through that door
hasn't always been this perfect
but I thank God I still have my other half
for being the one
where memories lie
for all the love
i'll never have to miss out on
and just because I think you're beautiful
I will appreciate
made my fair share of mistakes
i'll take all of the blame
wear every bloody scar on my soul
because no one can offer what you can
they can offer lust
a quick fleeting fling
they can strung the strings of my fantasy
but what they can't offer me
is a best friend and partner
a hand to hold when I get old
kisses that are filled with history
it's the best feeling
for being the one
where desires never end
for changing my destiny
turning it into a blessing
and just because you're so loving
I will appreciate
when I talk to the heavens
I ask for you always and forever
sometimes I believe we can make it
all the way to the end of days
if this is all we get
and we're just a blip on the radar of time
well I wouldn't dare waste it
instead I will make a promise
to always cherish you

My goodness, the depth of love poured into this gave me chills & warmed my heart. I know you said she spoils you, as obviously she must, but she is one lucky girl. Your adoration for her exudes in every write, another amazing one. Damn, you're good!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love to write about my feelings for my wife. Reminds me that love is worth the hardships. And we do go through plenty of those as well. Thank you so much for showing me so much love. You have warmed my heart today.
