Nervous Energy
I wonder if and when
it happens, You know,
or You might but then
again, how, whilst
You’re in the thick
and stuck in the
sand sinking deep?
Yeah,
I wonder
if You’d realize
while it’s taking
place.
God!
Sleep is so freakin’
difficult
right
now!
What have I to be
and the food processor
agitates just so,
a wee bit if You will
And I’ve come to know
even a minute thought
of skin to skin
lets in
I mean out,
the energy created
in
the
moment.

I could have written similar ... for me falling asleep always an issue with over-active mind, but with negative to be sucked through as soon as consciousness starts to leave often leaves me flat ... neither asleep or awake and stuck ... usually with tired mind so hard not to go to places easier to avoid while fully awake ... the least little thing an annoyance and reason not to sleep ... my imperfect strategy has me staying awake until eyes closing and like a shape shifter quickly switching to bed and slumber mode before sluggish mind catches up and betrays ... it works more often than it probably should but there are nights ... Bless and love ...

I love the Shapeshifter reference You make.
I believe it's EXACTLY like that!!
More often than not
I fall into deep Lucid sleep
only to have my head violently fall back against the wall jostling me to wakefulness
only briefly and no time to feel the physical pain
as my subconscious has a very different agenda!!

always delighted when You can feel what I feel / have felt
I could really use a shot in a vein

What keeps you awake at night, caffeine or just thoughts running around like a hamster wheel moment that won't quit? Aye. I've had nights like that. Not fun. Good read for my afternoon tea, however. :)

My mind never stops
I've played in chess tournaments and the night before the next day's worth of rounds I will see in my sleep where i went wrong in a loss or how i could have mated my opponent faster.
I dream of future events though not always clear with the meaning and intention.
I dream poetic lines sewn haphazardly together!
Like I said, my mind never stops. I've never learned how to Lucid Dream and yet often, in lieu of sleep, I will Lucid Dream. Very annoying when it happens.
Happy to push You along for the afternoon and tea.
(What kind of tea?)

Ahh the tea, is just Lipton extra bold, very tasty brew too! Thanks for asking. I know my mind used to keep going like that, but now it doesn't so much, not sure why though. Maybe it does but now I'm older it just seems like I don't pay it as much attention or something. Meh.

Well I'm the exact same age! I doubt you'll ever be untroubled as I, the mind runs only if I allow it or if I'm not too tired. I dunno why it changed really, prolly cuz being a lady my hormones don't work so good now. lol I do try to meditate though. I still have days like yours though but a little less.

lol
I meditate Daily (it's a zen Buddhism discipline)
I'm gonna blame it on being a male empath
and my addiction to Chess.
& i am rarely (too) tired.
You are most fortunate, then and alas, I've nothing this THING You nearly conquered, to look forward to........ ; )

"..skin to skin let's in, I mean out."
So true it makes one shiver. Something slips in and stays forever. It's up to us what we do with it though. And that leads to a whole different story waiting to be told.

Yup
more so when it's not LDR or Sapiosexual
I remember this energy when I was meeting a woman from Scotland for the first time face to face.
I asked my roommate to drive me to LAX to pick her up because I waaaaaaaas so nervous!

But Tallen, doesn't that energy just inject itself into the experience? I have been in a VERY similar situation. And if yours went anything like mine it left a memory that's unlikely to be parrelled. Not for lack of trying. :0)

it did
i'm not sure if i'm over her; she broke up with me last year, September. In a way, this place saved me as it's where i could spill my sad.
I met that woman in 2013 and she visited me twice when i lived in Southern California (I'm now in Southern Arizona).
All energies fold in and onto itself.
I transmute it for other things.
I've spilled lots of ink relating to nervous energy
so it's apparent that it's in memory.

Re: Re. Nervous Energy
My situation was a forbidden one if you will. Me in Alabama him in Seattle. I was NOT looking for anything it just kind of happened. No intentions of breaching the cyber world into reality. EVER! But it got too big, too powerful and eventually undeniable. Left it's mark for sure. Not looking to duplicate the experience but I am definitely looking to recapture the intoxicating euphoria it spawned.

at least You both were in the same country!
Local LDRs are easier, I've found.
Damn near impossible when not local -- especially when skin-to-skin encounters have already taken place.
Sometimes Forbidden is accentuated with more excitement and nervousness.

Especially when it's been anticipated for awhile. It becomes EXTREMELY cerebral. And then things become high octane. Are not the senses heightened when one of them is hobbled? You are free to explore each other one aspect at a time. Slowly becoming bold while loosing inhabitions.

By the time it became skin to skin it was already epic.
