The Factory

Happy little workers.
Assembly line workers.
Each puts their part on the machine
as it goes down
the line.
Everyone has a job to do.
Every job is important(all the screws must be screwed. All the seams soldered.)
Focused on their jobs, focused on their hands
(turn clockwise twice, hold trigger down 3.5 seconds).

Middle of the line,
Little worker.
Focused on the job, focused on her hands.
Frowning in her focus;
Frowning in her determination.
Frowning as she does(n't) cry because she does(n't) want to cry about
this again.
(No) tears fall.
One tear falls.
She doesn't stop working.

All through the line,
Busy workers,
Focus, focus focus!
Do your job quickly.
Be efficient workers.
Look not to the left or right.
Your job is on the line with the machine and
with your hands.
No one sees the tear.
No one stops working since they can('t) take an interest in the problems
Of other workers.
Your job isn't the other workers.
Your job is on the line.

End of the line,
Someone watches.
Breaks the Rule of Workers,
but covertly.
He can('t) afford to leave his post and ask what's wrong.
So he focuses on his hands.
Focuses on his job.
His job is on the line with the machine and with
his hands.
But he wonders for a moment if his job is his job.
Maybe something else is.
Maybe his job is someone.
Could his job be a worker?
Could his job be all workers?
He doesn't get paid for that.
He gets paid for his job.
His job is on the line.

Lonely little workers,
Assembly line workers.
Each puts their part on the machine
as it goes down
the line.
Everyone has a job to do.
Every job is important(all the workers stand in line, all the workers look straight ahead).
Focused on their jobs, focused on their hands.
(Don't look over there, don't feel her pain.)
Your job is on the line.
