Feet Dusting (You had to be there)
Honestly, I can live without You
though, right now maybe not.
I can stop falling – any time
though my tummy is in knots.
Looking in depth the abyss in Your eyes
Your irises appear to quiver.
My heart whispers to my logical mind
while I take note of Your physical shiver.
While looking down I kick up dirt
dusting Your sandals and feet.
Feigning to be cute and shy
Could’ve sworn I heard You speak!
Don’t postpone what You’re feeling;
& don’t be distracted by the dust.
It’s just that my emotions are reeling
From falling in love &
pheromonal lust.
Maybe,
I should take a leave of absence
instead,
my mind takes a vacation!
I’m falling faster
than I imagined
and for some illogical reason
I’m unable to stop
unable to believe
lost all reason to relieve
&
though possible
yet not probable
& I guess I lied.
