the deal
I ache with it
burn with it
get up carrying it
the weight of it drags me down
the pain brings me to my knees
teaches me who's master
I think some days I am
until I'm left begging the hurt to stop
it is relentless...
it hunts me this pain
I make deals with the devil
to end the pain for a moment
he keeps his end of the bargain
then I plead with the gods;
to release me from mine
the hurt is coldblooded it has no mercy
it doesn't care if I scream
it wills that I do...
sweet melody are the screams of the damned
my tormentor invisible
as elusive as smoke
I can't wrap my hands around it and kill it
I have no choice but to feed it
creating a bigger monster
today I bargained with the devil
tomorrow I pray I don't have to pay the debt
but I will...
