Fire
Fire is beautiful
Mesmerizing to look at
If you get close
Fire will warm you all over
But if you allow yourself to get
Too close, fire will burn you
And if you should fall
Head over heels into fire
You will be consumed
. . . and she was fire

She was fire. Too hot to handle so I had to let her burn while I smoldered until my flame was out.

Wonderfully expressed, seed. I really like how you used fire as an analogy for your love... just beautiful! In my most recent poem, I made a similar comparison. You should check it out if you get a chance...
