Grappling, between dark and light
fire breathing birds by the dozen,
moths of doom, small luminous insects

pockets full with earth seeds
arranging times: Stone lichens
their skirts tenderly vanished
 branches, trees work around me

 at least remembered:
 took her back before
I fell into a morning thought
something in my bed: who?
if Rose had slept
She heard nothing
but
