Black Rose

I can see through that cloak of yours
So beautiful and elegant to the eyes
Your a perfect black rose
Each petal unique in form
Be careful to touch you; you still can drawl blood
Your stem is as ridged as your soul
You stand firm, you will never bend
Your roots dug deep to hell
Deeper than any nails in my back
You will never be pulled from where you stand
Engulfing every bit of earth in which it bleeds

Do I pick you?
So I can have you, or let you go?
If I pull you, you are sure to die
If I let you go, I can admire you everyday, and
Have you forever
Enjoying your beauty;
Your grace
Your uniqueness of the black rose

I will sacrifice my want for your beauty
For I far need you more
What of winter?
Can't you take the bitter cold?

So cold you are all ready
You will live and strongly where you stand
A naked stem you might be, but
So full of a soul

I will still visit you through the snow
As you peak from time to time
I will wait for you through this frozen hell
Only to enjoy the coldness of your sun

I'm glad I didn't pull you from where you stood
I would never change you, and
Love you just the way you are.
