Prodigal Care
Though seemingly young,
ever wild
there’s a love I approach
innocently.
Though mature sometimes
I’m still a child
trying to share
unconditionally.
In moments like these
I raise my thoughts
and I ponder;
Emotions recessed
taking my heart
on the path to
wondering.
“. . .so mysteriously silent, so peaceful, so still,
I’ve become a silent sylvan tree ----
unfulfilled.
My limbs grow upward, stretching out
in earnest desire; alone within
waiting for one to set my heart afire. "
I’m afforded much time, in the forest deep
to meditate on what I am and what I can be
I’m afforded much time to dream
and I sleep,
longing to learn our trust.
Awakened
I’m wide awake
and the latter holds true.
