Mixed Emotions

 
In the stillness of tonight
all the sky shines, O, so bright;
echoing Your beautiful light
I think I’ll love, I feel I might.

From the moment when we met
I gazed; I wanted;  I blushed and yet
Fear and confusion grasp hold of me.
(Still) I knew I had to risk it for,
even now, Your face I cannot forget.

You are so beautiful to me
with radiant hues warming me
O,  why is it,  I cannot see ----
how You have infected me?
Something I barely understand
like waves upon the sand
I’m treading in uncertainty.

All my reasons out of hand
merely pining to be your friend
all emotions at Your command

I’m beginning to understand!

You are so beautiful to me
and infatuated as I may be
Your friendship first,
I’d like to see
anything more is not a
necessity.
