The Curse of Discrete Discoveries

He sees her impaled
by the mighty
- his legs like roasts;
muscular and chunky
savagely burrowing into her

Writhing against Herculean strength
her delighted whimpers
satisfied by the brawn
ripped from the pages of Heavy Metal Magazine
her buxom breasts
on sun-drenched display

Thinking someone had been wounded
he had cautiously
tracked their location
following the echo of them
while lying low
in the canyon

It had been a shock to him
seeing the warrior slam
himself so certainly into
the blonde amazon
their swords at rest
among the daily dangers
of the bands of barbarians
looming in the district

He had once stumbled upon
a raven-haired woman
bathing in the stream
that had almost took his head off
in response to his startling presence

He had to learn to be more careful
in his penchant for studying those of the land,
his disfigurement had been a liability
unsettling those whose eyes fell upon him

It had been the harshest curse,
placed on him by a vengeful mother
who reacted with ire
when he refused to marry her daughter

He still had his regrets on that one,
never realizing that a split-second decision
would relegate him to a world of celibacy
among the goddesses of his homeland

That point driven home,
by his current viewing.
