The Ride Within The Keep

It's been a dark and stormy epic,
ongoing, within a battered heart ~
And the keep that protects,
no one alien love has figured out
just how to tear it all apart. . .

It's been quite a long drawn out ordeal;
I’ve suffered such a transformation.
My ally, Pain, accepts, I feel
my continuous consternation's.
The things my lust holds onto dearly,
only seems to bring on despair,
and the ride I now travel
isn't leading me anywhere.

Oft, I think, " Where is my salvation,
when newborn friendships knock me to the floor? "
Contradiction becomes revelation
speaking when love's amiss,
within the heart, showing me the door.

Farewell, my heart, 'til this stage is past.
My Honorable love, I put aside.
Now on my mark, the dice, I cast
so as to take my ethics, for a ride.
(And) When the amusement ends
repeatedly, in line I stand,
to test my Honor over again,
until, at last, I understand.

When the line is long, my desires try to deflect,
the truths of right and wrong,
of love, I put aside...
Reflects.
Over and over, battle lines are drawn
as my sinful nature and my Agape love 'front one another.
Until I cast aside the latter
How can the former ever win?
A fortress breach is what will matter so the former can begin...

...to meld with Honorable measure,
at the faithful trysting site,
2 hearts taking pleasure nurturing a bond of love and light.
This other heart can only be my soul or near-soul mate;
this alter part can solely see the open castle gate.
Yet, this is neither afar nor near, but Spiritually either
my Hope or Fears.

For now,
I ride with exhilaration!
As strangers accompany me
from time to time
I'll smile with expectation:
Has my final hour come?
Will I escape the hellish roaster?

Someday...
Some way,
I'll exit this roller coaster,
And authentically
Live...

without a keep.
