Coded
When you leave, there’s no sun in my sky
But warm fire flies are left aside
You run marathons, that no one can outdo
I’m cheering you on from the side line view
“Come on! Come on! Run right through!” - To be fair, that’s all you can do
Cos in my mind, you’re not really you
Smiling ear to ear, then you break in two
Your eyes fall off as they unscrew
Shattered to pieces, those pieces flew
The meaning of this was misconstrued
Panicking, I have to fix you
The shards resist, they refuse to glue
My skin form browns to royal blue
You disappear. Exposing the hole inside
Screams in mind become amplified
Tears crystallise, shattering on the floor
Heart shrivels and becomes no more
“what is this, a metaphor?”
I didn’t understand theretofore
Looking back, I found the issue
You’re not my lover, my mind’s the tissue
Absorbing the thoughts my heart will claim
Cos mental health just has no shame
B A L A N C E – minds desired acclaim
Or I will be the one to blame...
