a Personal Tao - mine, I think * my Path
The Path
rotting leaves of contempt
litter my path,
my wet dusty road
of my life.
There's a moment of hesitation
before I take to this
inevitable course.
It is the prospect of abandoning
a hermitized lifestyle;
(and) As I journey down this Tao
I find eerie, airy surroundings
too far from light and sky,
too close to vices and walls.
Amidst a brisk wind, my path
sways back and forth
to keep up
with pressure, opinions,
and beliefs.
I am an earthly mud walker
waiting for the dust to settle.
