TAKING CARE OF YOUR HEART (Haikus 7.0)
(i) SALT
The rubbing of salt
In still raw cuts and heart scars
cruelty be thy name
(ii) THINK
You should stop and think
Compassion costs you nothing
Before breaking hearts
(iii) VICTORIOUS
Be magnanimous
with all your rejected, jilted hearts
Try some empathy
(iv) BAD
it's desperation
when ones heart is broken
to behave badly
(v) TOTAL
Total rejection
Is an act of the heartless
friendship an option
(vi) SURGERY
Like a heart surgeon
Goodbyes need a steady hand
show some compassion
(vii) FAKE
In a love that's fake
Big lies begat more big lies
with hindsight they're clear

I'm truly at a loss for words. You turned heartache into something so very beautiful, even if just a mere poem. I've never understood haiku's; the flow, concept and actual message but THIS , I get! You must enlighten me on how this has served a purpose for my mind when others have failed me because I love the stanza layout. As to stanza, damn did you nail them all with the raw truth. You put heart into this one and it shows. Thank you for inadvertently showing me how a haiku can be of beauty and meaning.

I write Scottish Haikus - these can be about any subject and can stradle the genres. Unlike Japanese originals - they do not have to connect with nature, weather systems, and the like. still a 5-7-5 you must stick by that format but anything is fair game for the Haiku , I have them about death and teddy bears nothing is off the table :-))))))))
