Awakened!
I’d like to think this
when I opened my eyes
from slumber within Your heart
and everything was pitch black.

I’d fallen so deep within You
that now my entire world
became void and dark.
The further I grew
inside of You, I knew
I was in for a super wet blue
from the blacker rue
when we would split apart.

Never in my coldest lucid dreams
did I believe You could hurt me
so bad I’d rent my heart at the seams
pouring my red liquid in deeply
deeper in the hole.

I’d do it all over anew
Falling deep within You
Don’t care about the blue
Or the black void too
The brief intimacy that grew
Was worth the painful rue.
