A Break in the Day

paperwork, details, time flies
office politics, calendars, deadlines
he stops for a second, a premonition
he watches the door
her scent wafts through
no one is there

concentration taking its toll?
was it a vision,
or was it real?

he rises from the desk
looks both ways
no sign of her
must be fatigue

he turns to face the desk
looking at all of it
his mind wandering, concentration broken

he hears a whisper
he smells her perfume
he turns

and it is real

she faces him
an impish smile on her face
a bag of coffee in her hand

he closes the door,
breathless
he takes her in

coffee drops,
arms reach

deep kisses, hands everywhere

he pushes her onto the desk
his hands finding purpose

his body on hers
it cannot be stopped
this moment in time

they take it
they make it happen
there
on the desk

flesh to flesh
clothing pushed aside
deep breathing

sliding
deep into her softness
strong thrusting
hard, full

hearts pounding
legs splayed

explosion, utter fulfillment
holding on to make it last
it does
throbbing,waves of pleasure,
cries of ecstasy

slowed breathing
face to neck
lovers

a moment in the day
a love of a lifetime

nice break,
tomorrow? same time same place?

she nods and slips away
he smiles and then laughs out loud
alone with the paperwork

concentration shot to hell
happy and in love

forever
