Icy Hell

I saw a monster
Looking at me
EYEBALL TO EYEBALL
without a blink
Just an awkward laugh
and in that instance I knew
I was now in hell

My feet stood frozen
My bodies density intensified
My heart was subjected to deep palpitations and
My nostrils were flared
yet I never allowed him to see my fears

We communicated through thoughts
and no word found utterance through our mouths
but we both knew
"The weaker should bow to the stronger"
Yet my knees refused to be tainted
So I challenged him

He is a master manipulator
but that's all he is
He carries no real power
than the power we give him
He rules in hell
yet he doesn't even know who carries his keys
I refused to bow to a being who lives in fear
I refused to bow to a being who lives his whole life in fear

I looked into his eyes
I looked past his fierce face
and his intimidating dragon form
and I saw a small little angel
Cast out because of rebellion
Left to die a painful death
To be burnt down and reincarnated
only to be burnt down again and again and again and again

I looked into his eyes
and I saw a spirit
Isolated from other angelic beings
He parades for death
Decorates it
and represents it
to his fellow beings
So that they too may buy in
and he won't have to die alone

I also looked into his eyes
and saw a being brave enough to challenge God
When all else hid behind purity and innocence
He came forth
and challenged a God that none dares even look in the face

He was an advocate of change
and unfortunately
not everyone is receptive to change
so he was kicked out

I looked into his eyes
and I saw anger
Pain
And vengeance

I challenged him though
When all else bowed before him
I stood there and reminded him of his fight which initially got him kicked out
I reminded him of his struggles
Where all could lead as one
and praise be given to all

I didn't want him to rule over me, no!
I wanted us to rule together
Each man his own life
and together extinguishing the flames of hell
