Social Simulation

I survived another day in the matrix
A three-dimension prison for the minds of the servants
Material conquest chokes the life from the conscious
When objects hold more weight than personal content

Another day passes in the simulation
Inspiration that used to surface now sinks in a saturation
Of devices that divide us and distract a generation
Sold on a lie cleverly disguised by its presentation

Silicon and circuits that circumvent our deepest needs
But we pay the price to be gratified immediately and it isn't cheap
An illusion of connection that only breeds isolation
This vice traps us in its vise until we start making changes
