Fer Crissake... they
are people...
just like you and me...
And because of what they have
lost...they are often gifted
with far deeper insight
than we could ever hope to possess
What are you afraid of?
Could you...become them?
Yeah...that could be you some day.
Might as well face the truth now...
Sooner is easier somehow...
once you look in the mirror... and realize
we're all in the same leaky boat
...and you're bailing...
are people...
just like you and me...
And because of what they have

It comes from an old poem of mine, from a somewhat different era in my life. Managed to find it from my archive.
Here's the whole thing:
DIFFERENTLY THE SAME.
Everyone is differently the same
like the rising sun, and the falling rain
all emanating from the one same Source
that’s why we’re One - of course
some exemplars many talk about
showed what it’s like to really have no doubt
for innocent is how we walk The Way -
a daily practice, come what may
everyone is differently the same
the rainbow’s innocent - in sun and rain
all heading to our singular home -
God-the-Circle - as One.
