A friend of mine beat his wife

Maybe he's trying to redeem himself. He will have to live with it. We are all mixtures of many things. I never met anybody who was pure.

Yeah. It's intense because his wife is also a friend. He has PTSD from a horrible situation where he couldn't protect someone who was gravely injured. After that, his life came apart, almost literally, and he's been putting it back together. Purity- what's that?

PTSD is a difficult thing. I know when I am anxious I can get very agressive and unreasonable. It's because the system is stuck in fight or flight. Not to justify any abuse but I understand the dynamics that can happen.
