God's Angry
God is angry and wrathful
You face the pits of eternal damnation
Hanging precariously above
Only his merciful grace keeps you from falling
The sparks of his divine wrath fly about
Singeing the thread from which you hang
Repent
Repent
Repent!
You make no effort to please him!
The one whom determines your fate!
You are a greater abomination within his eyes than even the most venomous of serpents.
He abhors you.
Change your ways or face his wrath in full.

Author's Note
My old preacher quoted a sermon by Jonathan Edwards called 'SINNERS IN THE HANDS OF AN ANGRY GOD' and I read it again today. My take on the passionate sermon.

Reading this I got a picture in my head of a girl swinging like she's playing outside. But instead over the fiery pits of hell

This quote from that very piece struck me the most! I love the response to it.
Edwards is suggesting that the harder we strive to force our way into the kingdom of heaven, the more we will then naturally despair of our own righteousness and works, and trust only in the righteousness of Christ. Therefore, may we continue to force our way in, and while doing so learn to rest in Christ all the more.
