SUNRISE BUS STOP (1989, Leucadia, California)
suns up this morning
fat and wide
upon the eastern
horizon
exploding
like atomic glare
in blinding
platinum
solar rays
interspersed
with softer beams
so radiantly
stabbing out
through pranic air
of new born
awakening day
razor cutting
out
static silhouettes
of still enslumbered
rooftops
and houses
geometrically staggered
here and there
interspersed amid
the bric a brac
fractaled
lacework
of softly stirring
living treelines
juxtaposed
as one cameo
blackened seam
silently running
contiguously between
sleeping earth
below
and waking sky
above
along the silent
zen still
sigh
of eastern
horizon lines
broad vast distant
unfathomably deep
fluid
peaceful repose
as i
drink in
both
sweet mornings
air
and light
through nose
mouth eyes
lungs senses
mind
so too
this new day
drinks
and breathes
me in
as one
with it
in symbiotic return
like cool
clear water
of life charged
life sparked
ionized dawn
harmoniously recalibrating
my heightened
awareness
quickening my vibratory
perceptions
setting my skin
and senses
to more acutely
awakened tingling
where earths
own awakening
is most alert
and cosmically electric
in morning
as all of natures
collective
virgin energies
are fluidly harmonized
under the magical
spell
of her invigorating
ethereal mists
and star lit
sun kissed
diamond dews
fierily bejewelled
by this
rising suns
warm
angled touch
which now also
casts
my elongated shadow
far across
the ground behind me
as its vital
god like power
fills me up
profoundly
with each
and every
inspired breath
i take in
and then release
these my words
flow out freely
and easily
with every exhalation
gently exhalted
prayers
of ever deepening
appreciation
of love and inspiration
as each sweet
breath
bonds and fuses
within me
this radiant
soul deep unity
intimately brightened
more fully alive
even beyond
these fleeting moments
already lapsed
behind me here
as well as
forever
within this
continuously flowing
mysterious
sacred
now
