Digging Deeper

Sometimes I wield words like weapons without awareness
And wildly wave them about, careless

Like a madman with a flail
I throw on some chainmail
Foaming at the mouth
Looking burly, quite rabid
Survivors can vouch
I'm a creature of habit

I gnaw on the bones
Of that corpse on the couch
I saw off the toes
No remorse for the slouch
He deserved to die alone
"Encore!!", I shout

The gore show must go on
To entertain me 'til I'm gone
Eventually I'll join the fray of limbs
For now I'll just obey the whims

Since I think I want a lovely garden
A mass grave right in my back yard then
I guess I'd better grab a shovel
A spot in the shade, nice and subtle

Start to dig, while flinging dirt
I dream about the pretty flirt
That I'll soon inflict stinging hurt
Upon, now don't look so disturbed
Knew when her whispers I first heard
Her breath as it caressed my flesh
She would be the first to linger
Waste away, attraction venomous
This pit of hunger, ever ravenous

More victims, famished, fill the pool
I'll dive right in, blood red like jewels
I'll never forget the taste
I'll savor lives that I've erased
