Only You
A mist moves across the pond
inching ever slowly
fluently
so gracefully
I ache to feel her touch
to be immersed in the moistness
of her very soul
My mouth waters in anticipation
of her arrival
of my survival
my need to be
a commencing of we
In the stillness
I await
patiently with my thoughts
of tommorows
of today
when you come will you stay
as the sun drys out a path
I can see
I can feel
and I can taste
~
only you
inching ever slowly
fluently
so gracefully
I ache to feel her touch
to be immersed in the moistness
of her very soul
My mouth waters in anticipation
of her arrival
of my survival
my need to be
a commencing of we
In the stillness
I await
patiently with my thoughts
of tommorows
of today
when you come will you stay
as the sun drys out a path
I can see
I can feel
and I can taste
~
only you
