Bullet Wounds
Bullet Wounds
Have you ever been shot?
I am not a candidate
Likely to get asked that question
I have been shot
Many times.
By many people
I have the scars to prove it
The one in my eye
Thats from all
The tears I have cried
This one, where my lung is
So many times I felt
I would die because
My anxiety would not let me breathe
I have multiple holes in my head
The depression, bipolar, borderline
Keeping up with all the labels
Also, the bullets I wanted
To put there myself, felt as if i did anyway
Shots to both knees
So many times
I would suddenly fall
Directly off the path
Set before me
The most damaged
My heart
I wonder, is it beating?
Am I alive?
I wonder what it
Would be like if it stopped beating
The pain would stop
I would be holding the gun then
Scars left on the ones I love
What?
You see no scars?
I assure you, my body is covered
I feel the pain
But only when i am awake
Have you ever been shot?
I am not a candidate
Likely to get asked that question
I have been shot
Many times.
By many people
I have the scars to prove it
The one in my eye
Thats from all
The tears I have cried
