What Is Real Love Anyway?

 
Do you want to know how to tell if a love is real
Would you like to know when it's unconditional
Real and unconditional should be the same thing
The words 'real' and 'unconditional seem simple
Yet they are thrown out like candy devaluing both
So where do I start?

The test for real love is does it last
Does it affect all your waking hours
You cant get them out of your mind
You smile every time you see them
You are always pleased to see them
You'd do anything for them
You'd always love and care for them
You would literally die for them
And if they go, you can't stop loving them
There is no moving on despite plenty fish
Their love may die but real love doesn't

Unconditional: Similar attributes to real love
This is like real love on crack
But to be honest there is no such thing
It is something to aspire to, something that grows
A partner can beat or abuse the love you
But if they do that they never loved you
So, there can be unconditional conditions
But: Unconditional love never dies it's not possible
You will feel that love until the day you die
There is no getting away from it
You wouldn't want to even if you could

I talk to her photographs
I tell her I am sorry
I tell her I Love her
I watch videos keeping it alive
I still write her  love poems
I just don't publish them
She still makes me smile
She makes me cry also
These things I still do daily
My futility matters not
I am and always be
In love with her
