Drowning

All I hear is water
It is all around
I look up and see the surface
As I began to drown
Flailing arms
And frantic legs
I try to touch the air
I cannot move
My body turns numb
Legs dormant
I reach one more time
There it is I felt it
The cold air against my finger tips
And as I felt that one that’s thing
I drown
Claimed by the sea
