AtoMikbomb Blast
Dedicated to AtoMikbomb
(For the "Who Inspired you Comp")
AtoMikbomb Blast
People on busses, people on trains
People in cars, people on planes
People who smile, people who frown
Folks going up, folks going downs
People with dogs, ladies with cats
Men who are good, men who are rats
Crashed motorcycles, broken down trucks
People who say they don't give to fucks
People who dance, people who sing
People in public playing with their thing
People soft spoken, people who shout
People who're serious and don't muck about
People in smart suits, people in rags
Folks who's life is in two carrier bags
People with cancer, people with AIDS
Veterans disabled by thrown hand grenades
Folks that are loving, folks homicidal
Happy and smiling, some suicidal
Other poets, too be or not to be
All kinds of everything inspire me
However:
There is one poet here I aspire to be
To be as able to look at the world as she
Her words drip like molten gold
Never a poem leaving me cold
A vocabulary clearly second to none
Her original concepts seem easily done
Flawless in form, flawless in style
Some that I study for such a long while
Everyone I have to read out loud
This wordsmiths velvet would please any crowd
Some are like opera, they sing to my soul
Some pull me out of my very dark hole
With every poem I'm always inspired
Of reading her verse I'll never get tired
Her comments encourage as they occur
When I grow up I want to be like her
It's probably true, she just doesn't know it
But she has helped me to become a better poet
This was a very easy write, this tribute to her
I'm sure all her readers would gladly concur
My most inspiring poem on DU.com
Ladies and gentlemen I give you "AtoMikbomb"
So many others inspire me too
Missy, Tyran and Nightbirdblue
Mel44, Dartford and Willow
Inspire my dreams as I sleep on my pillow
Ragnar, Crimsin and _shadoe_
Poets of renown, never shallow
Blueorchid, Josh and Amorous_tryst
Sorry to all the poets I've missed
