conflicted

I don't know what's right or wrong anymore
everything looks the same-every choice seems to be wrong
mistakes are always made
and words are always spoken
that can send you over the edge
friendship was never an option because
no one ever stayed
fearing the pain you pull away
but your hearts screaming for you to stay
and give it another try-another chance
letting someone in is unnatural
almost unreal
promises were always broken
and bridges always crumbled
ignoring the hurt you

and pretend that everything's okay
because you can't show weakness to the
monsters that live among you
Silencing your words you become a
doll
easily pushed and pulled around
but easily broken

shrinking back and hiding behind the

eventually if you pretend you're something you're
not
you become it
So, it's not really pretending anymore
