hypocrisy ~for the self-righteous
God walked into a room
he smelled of sacrificial wine
the saintly gossip circle was in full cluck
"whispering do you smell him?"
"he reeks of alcohol"
laughing as they looked down on him
they even got the priest
to do a sermon about the shameful bum
he heard their murmurs
and picked up on the thinly veiled
innuendos threw his way
each one spiked with razors
he finally stood before the congregation
bloody and wearing the rags he was crucified in
and said
"suffer not a vagrant"
"for you are but a squatter here on Earth"
"by judging what you perceive as unclean
you define yourself"
self-righteous
