Sinking Sanity
Slither to your resting place
You vile, lying, thieving snake
I know you knew what was at stake
Yet you still threw it all away
As if you had not a care in the world
Now you really have none, into abyss hurled
You are the silhouette that I see on the horizon
Growing closer, I can feel your grip begin tighten
You wrap your hands around my mind and squeeze
Until the juice is dripping out, the cure for your disease
What relieves your self-inflicted pain
Has me caught in a migraine
Feeling like I want to drill a hole through my skull
The vessel of my thoughts, from impact has been hulled
This gradual decline,
Sinking deeper all the time
I won't be climbing in a lifeboat
No SOS, no vest that floats
I used to gloat and boast
About the cargo on my boat
Until deceiving words fell from your pretty lips
No getting off this ride, I'm going down with my ship
