A Rose

Time has brought change.
It took all your bad and planted a seed
From this seed came a rose,
One so beautiful the world froze in awe.

This rose bloomed and from it came the good.
A good so great that it took away all your pain.
It took all the darkness and drowned it out with beauty.
A beauty so encompassing you couldn't help but watch.

You laughed as it danced and sang for you.
A tune so light and happy you joined in
And with that tune the rose grew and grew
until nothing could make it dull or shrivel.

Slowly you began to realize,
That rose is you,
Growing with you,
Becoming happier with you
And then you realized
Though they may try
Nobody can break you down.
