Night's revenge
ravage against my soul
the winds too begin to take her toll
winding in an ever evil stroll
against my will they spill
and spoil
as life unceasingly toils
Abandoned
thoughts turn cool
empty in honorary moments
filling broken glasses
found in the fury
fallen from you
cornerstone compliments complete
constructed before destruction
water seeping in
still lost within
again without
a clue
barren trails of adaptation cross
where love has up and lost
her will
life's a bitter pill
swallow
no light seeping through the cracks
wandering of the darkest paths
straight ahead, no turning back

"against my will they spill" ... great internal rhyme in this line ... "and spoil" ... perfect line break and follow on line ... "filling broken glasses" ... wonderful originality and imagery ... "life's a bitter pill//swallow" ... awesome ...

Well written but dark and sad. I know...that's how life sometimes dishes it out. Some of these realisations seem to be part of getting older. I am getting heavier too...not physically but....

Raise the broken glass in a fuck you toast to the universe ,
drink whatever is left in the broken glass , then chew it ,
and spit out the grit , and blood !
