He's absorbed
watching intensely his hand's
slow, deliberate movement,
transporting the cigarette
from ashtray to lips...
Watching and thinking...
That's what he does...
Watches and thinks...
It's not an exercise in futility.
Not at all!
It helps him - almost, inspires him -
develop concepts
to excuse his unexamined life...
He may be stupid,
but not on purpose...
