The Dark One
Beware the Dark One, for he is coming after you
The fact that he’s coming after you means you bit off more than you can chew
How in your stupidity did you think you could mess with him?
You’ll be punished harshly for your deadly sin.
The Dark One is an ancient being that comes out at night
All run away from him, for he’s a frightening sight
Tall and imposing, dressed in black cloaks
He’s the product of your nightmares, not just a hoax.
Pray all you want, it won’t save you from the Dark One
As he comes after you under the light of the midnight sun
You can board up your home and set up traps
Your only warning before your doom is feeling the breath on your back.

it's sometimes strange that the reader will project on to your words - your words are excellent and build up a head of steam perfected by the last line :-))))
I could relate the dark one as PTSD which I suffer from - many, many comparisons
