Picnics and Zoo Trips
Today I saw a picture,
It reminded me of past adventures,
Fun times with sun shine,
Under blue skies,
On a train ride
Together.
I remember,
All was right back then,
Happy kids,
Sitting at a station,
Smiles across their little faces,
While they waited with elation.
Arms stretched wide enough to fit
All three of them,
Looked upon with pride,
Equally, from gleaming eyes.
I remember when,
Before the sadness hit,
Before the damage,
Before we knew how good we really had it,
When family
Was the only thing that mattered,
We were making memories,
Past snap shot realities,
To miss,
To reminisce
The days like this,
Picture perfect
Picnics and zoo trips.
