Dis-Honesty
wow, I didn’t see this coming
I gave up time to you, friend
spoke of love and respect
gave my help and thoughts
only for you to walk away
I shouldn’t be upset
I just feel blindsided
It sucks not getting an explanation
going back in my mind
what did I do wrong?
can’t say it doesn’t hurt
but what am I to do?
just have to take the hit and move on
thought I had a good buddy
someone I could depend on
shared with you things,
I don’t share with anyone
I truly wish you well, I do
but I hope you know
this betrayal is shit
no, I won’t hold back words on that
if you gonna stab someone
least have the guts to face them
goodbye, friend

Wrote this after finding out a friend cut ties with me. Normally I don’t care that much, but this kind of came out of nowhere. Needed to get the feeling off my chest.

Sometimes they just blindside us and it leaves one wondering what was truth and what was lies when all is said and done. This reads real and vulnerable, a good release
